Charming Christmas lights, festive themed events, enchanting adventures, London has it all this season. Here are my suggestions on how to make the most of 2025’s final and most magical month!!
- Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

London’s ultimate festive playground, packed with rides, Christmas markets, an ice rink, circus shows, carnival games, and so much more!! Typically running through the middle of November till early January, this London Christmas staple is a must for you and your friends and family. A little tip, book early to avoid long queues and take advantage of early-bird entry deals, so you can guarantee you avoid the crowd and make the most of your magical day out.
2. Christmas Markets and Lights

In the Christmas season, London proves why it is the UK’s capital city with it’s wide range of quirky Christmas Markets and fabulous nostalgic lights. The best of the best include Southbank’s Winter Market filled with chalets offering food, gifts and mulled wine, Covent Garden with their boutique shops, iconic tree, carols and the huge illuminated baubles, Oxford and Regent street with their traditional dazzling lights that have been there since the 1950s, Trafalgar Square and it’s Christmas tree from Oslo and the beautiful markets, and finally Kew Garden with a 3km fabulous light trail.
3. Quiz Box’s Christmas Packages

Quiz Box is London’s one and only TV game show experience that will guarantee laughter from all the family, and this festive season brings new challenges. Quiz Box’s Festive Packages, The Holiday Haymaker and The Jingle Jab, bring an all new holiday twist to their classic trivia tournament. Featuring your very own custom questions, a private booking at the local pub, prizes for the top 3 players, and the most important addition, Christmas themed questions to test who knows this festive season the best, making their way onto the nice list, and who’s the bah humbug on the naught list!
4. Somerset House’s Ice Rink

This iconic setting is home to London’s biggest and most popular ice rink, guaranteeing an amazing day out, and hopefully no bruises from falling over on your bum!! Somerset House also features a towering and stunning Christmas tree surround by it’s 18th-century courtyard. This ice rink is available through November and January, however if this location doesn’t work for you, London is home to a wide range of ice rink’s, for example, Battersea Power Station, Canary Wharf, and Hampton Court.
5. Festive Shows and Music

London is home to some of the most stunning and inspirational Christmas events that are a must see for you and the family, so you can celebrate the festive season properly. The Nutcracker at the London Coliseum with it’s beloved and iconic seasonal ballet, the carols and orchestral sing-alongs at the Royal Albert Hall, or maybe London’s traditional British theatre with pantomimes at Drury Lane. All of these, and more, will bring back that warm nostalgic Christmas feeling we all strive to experience again.
